OUR MISSION

North Park is committed to be a Bible-centered church based upon relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, compassionate care, and community awareness through constant prayer that influences one life at a time.

Biblical Basis:

 Our reason for reaching in and out to people is based on two very key scriptures, The Great Commandment & The Great Commision. We feel that a Great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commision grows a Great church.

 In the book of Matthew, Jesus was asked “Which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus’ response, found in Matthew 22:37-39, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” Fisrt and foremost, we love God. Secondly, we love people.

 Famous Last Words. In Jesus’ last words, before going back to heaven, we find the Great Commision. Matthew 28:19-20 records those words:  “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

 Our Mission and Vision Statement reflect both of these scriptures.  Our Mission is to “reach…teach…equip.”
